Jonah is a fun loving kinda kid. He will do anything for an adventure. He is free spirtied and sometimes it may seem like he doesn't have a care in the world. One of Jonah's may flaws though is the fact that he has a major trust issue, as he is not the type to just come out and say how he truly feels. Yet there is on thing specific about Jonah that everyone seems to never see... he hides behinds his music.

Jonah Halaway grew up in the city, New York City. Since he was little, he had always been one for a fast moving lifestyle it was just how he was raised. Since his parents worked a lot, his older sister Michelle spent the most time with him during the day. They would go everywhere together. Whenever she went out she'd take him with her and then just spend the day together. Jonah loved being out of the house for long periods of time.
As he got older though a new member joined the family, his younger sister Anna. It seemed as though Michelle was beginning to spend less and less time with him and that slightly broke his heart. She was getting older and so was he yet she was the one who wasn't home anymore. Though Jonah had no problem watching after Anna, the two of them became really close like best friends. Even though Anna is much younger than Jonah they don't keep secrets from each other and Jonah cares a lot about his baby sister.
Even though Michelle had moved out, her and Jonah were still close just not as close as they used to be. Jonah's father had been diagnosed with depression shortly after he turned 16 and his mother having her best interest in the family thought it be better if they moved, only hoping that Jonah's father would get better. Leaving the city life behind him, Jonah and his family then moved to New Mexico. Jonah was scared for his father and as much as he wanted to help him he knew he couldn't do anything for him.
It was the day of Jonah's 17th birthday when his father tried to kill himself. Jonah was hertbroken and he had always and to this day blames himself for that heartaching memory. It's not just a memory though it's a nightmare that can not be erased from his mind. As he tries so hard not to think of it as it haunts his mind out of nowhere. Ever since that day Jonah has had a very hard time trusting people which is why he thinks the only thing he has going for him is his music.
When he first came to AL. New Mexico he went to West High, yet he has bugged his parents about letting him transfer to East High. Now being the new student once more will Jonah be able to make friends that he can trust? Find the perfect girl? Will he be able to overcome his trust issues?
